Minutes of January 9, 2012 Blue Streak Booster Meeting

Meeting was called to order at 6:08 p.m. by President Vincent Rhodes.
Secretary Report– Motion by Susan Sackett to accept the minutes as e-mailed. 2nd by Jeremy Bahnsen. Motion Passed.
Treasurer’s Report– Paul Wilke
Provided copies of Balance Sheet dated January 9, 2012. Motion to accept by Jeff Krabill. 2nd by Susan Sackett. Motion Passed.
Correspondence– No Report.
Coach’s Reports –
Boys Soccer: Ryan Fry - There will be a winter indoor league for 7th and 8th grade started 1/1412 for 6 weeks. In the spring, grades 5 to 8 will be at Strobel field. These are coed leagues.
Bowling: Bob Dickman - The Varsity Boys and Girls SBABC Championship will be held at Cedar Lanes on 1/14/12 at 1:00 pm.
Baseball: Zach Moots was in attendance.
Wrestling: Casey Harrington was in attendance.
AD Report– Susan Sackett
The Jr. High Winter Sports Banquet is scheduled for February 16, 2012 at 7:00 pm. Maumee Bay, Strobel Field turf installers, just received the contract to install new turf at Paul Brown Stadium, home of the Cincinnati Bengals.
Committee Report–
Grade School Sports: Jackie Collins
Memberships: Kate Vargo - A little over $7,600 has been collected to date. She plans to redo the form for next year by adding an e-mail address and will send replies.
Commemorative Bricks: No Report.
Newsletter: No Report
Budget: No Report
Festival of Lights: Jackie Collins - Expects to receive a check by the end of January, 2012.
Old Business–
Online Survey - Jeff Krabill reported that the link for the online survey is being distributed and is expected to be noted in the Sandusky Register. The entire SCS staff received an e-mail from Dennis Muratori with the link in it. All in attendance were encouraged to forward the survey to family and friends to complete.
New Business-
Mulch Madness Fundraiser - Time to get this going. Jim Corso will contact Ken Wolters.
Golf Scramble - The plan is to have it at Mills Creek this year on June 2, 2012. Planning has begun.
Baseball Bats - Zach Moots reported there are new regulations on the type of bat that can be used; therefore, all former bats are now illegal.
