They say March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb. For our students here at Osborne we might say March comes in like a lion and out like a lion. That's because the students have been working all month on project based learning.    

In cooperation with the 6th grade art field trip to the Sandusky Maritime Museum, students investigated Sandusky's history and created dioramas depicting a different event or time period.

Students at Osborne Elementary are not only practicing their reading and writing skills, they are practicing for their career as a book cover designers.

6th grade teachers at Osborne Elementary no longer have to ask students to raise their hands now they can call on the entire class at once through the use of the Smart Response System.

Students at Osborne Elementary received and early Christmas present.... the laptops arrived. After A LOT of hard work on behalf of the technology staff at Sandusky City Schools the student laptops arrived just before Christmas.

Students jigsawed the novel "Number the Stars" and then created a digital storybook using Animoto.com.

During the month of November students were busy creating lots of different 21st century projects and participating in distance learning events.

Students in 6th grade at Osborne Elementary never wonder when they would use fractions in real life. That's because students in Mr. Martin's and  Mr. Notestine's class participated in a fraction performance based assessment based on recipes and cooking.

6th grade students at Osborne Elementary enjoyed a visit from The Sandusky Register's head photographer Jason Werling.

As part of our commitment to helping the community, 6th graders at Osborne Elementary journeyed on a field trip to the wildlife rehabilitation animal center, Back to the Wild.
